AGLP members are encouraged to make their reservations at the Renaissance Arts Hotel while staying in New Orleans for the upcoming APA Annual Meeting. The hotel, recommended by our local arrangements team, is conveniently located for easy access to both the convention center and the French Quarter. Rooms are currently listed at $279/night King/Queen, Single/Double. The full-service hotel includes an art gallery featuring rotating exhibits by local artists and the Legacy Kitchen restaurant and bar. Meeting space for AGLP has not yet been confirmed for this location, so please check back for more information about AGLP activities.

Journal of Gay and Lesbian Mental Health Resident Paper Award Presentation
AGLP is pleased to announce the winner of the 2022 AGLP Outstanding Resident Paper Award for the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Mental Health. The paper, by Finola D’souza, M.D., “The mental health needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) refugees: A scoping review” was the winning manuscript in this year’s cycle.

The AGLP Nominating Committee has approved the following slate for the 2022-2023 term and the slate was approved by Executive Committee of AGLP. Membership voting will conclude with the AGLP Annual Membership Meeting on May 22, 2022. Early voting is being accepted via the link below. The slate is as follows:

To submit your vote for this slate, click on THIS LINK, Your AGLP username and password will be required (only AGLP members may vote in this election). Comments may be added to the form if you so desire. Additional votes will be accepted at the Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 1:30pm. In addition, the President shall accept additional nominations from members at the annual meeting, which must be seconded by a member of the Association in good standing. Self-nominations are not allowed. A member may not be nominated for office that is not in good standing with the Association.
The results of the election will be announced at the conclusion of the meeting.
